 Project Database
I backed-up the project database, excelential.exdu before following the steps in the Learning Guide. After doing the steps in the Learning Guide, I restored the project database by copying the file to my Excelential folder as specified in the Help (Introduction->Project Database). This time I worked using my own spreadsheets. I was able to create a dashboard and panels using my own spreadsheet. However, when I viewed the dashboard again, the panels display the data from the spreadsheets used in the Learning Guide. If I click on the panel it opens my spreadsheet in Excel. Why then is the panel displaying a different data/information?

 Re: Project Database
In order to provide a very fast refresh of the dashboard when spreadsheets are not being updated, Excelential keeps a copy of the latest panel images in the folder labeled "\panels\" inside the folder that contains the Excelential.exe program file.
Excelential assumes that the project database is constantly in use, and is not changed. If you do change the project database (which is what you described), the program may think that the panel images in the folder apply to the project. That will cause you to see the panels from your tutorial appearing in place of the ones of your spreadsheets.
To solve the problem, go to the \panels\ folder, and delete all the files in them. Don't worry, Excelential will reconstruct all the panel images when you next view a dashboard.
